Hi

here are some ideas for further lessons if not in the program yet

1. BEGINNER alphabet learning by viewing entire chart in order  ក ខ គ ឃ... (maybe a game where the sound is said and user has to click correct symbol on chart) this would be good for vowels too. and jung.

2. BEGINNER reading paragraphs - this helps with learning where word breaks occur

3. ADVANCED reading inherent vowels in sanskrit bali words (how to recognize and say those words correctly)

4. ADVANCED Jung  RULE TO PRONOUNCE VOWEL - Always follow the Jung (subscript) consonant series
except the passive subscript consonants ន ម ង ញ យ រ ល វ.

Thank you for the suggestions. We'll look into it further when we start to add new lessons.

Having to come to the end of your marvelous program, I can only say that you've make a great contribution to making Khmer more accessible. I know I would never have mastered the largest alphabet in the world if it weren't for ReanKhmer. I would like to sincerely encourage you to build it up further. One comment about the last few lessons - I felt like I was plunged in the deep end of the pool after barely learning to float. Making the texts available on pdf or word would help me to look up words on our own. Better still, starting with an even shorter text and introducing the new words at the start, not the end, of each lesson would have helped more. There are many subtleties of grammar unexplained in your program that left me still unable to form a sentence on my own, and so I also studied from "Cambodian for beginners" - which was easier than I expected after learning from you exactly how each sound is pronounced. And I can't stress enough how the games made the learning enjoyable - please develop more! Having completed all the lessons, I am now just going over the texts again and again, hoping my listening will improve, but it is still quite hard. However, I have much more confidence that I am not far from actually obtaining a functional level of proficiency. My heartfelt thanks, and good luck with the continuation!

Thank you for the heart felt comments and suggestions.

I agreed that the reading lessons in Unit 2 is a big leap in term of vocabularies and sentence structure. We introduced variety of topics just to get your feet wet. Grammar is another big topic that has not been introduced. Probably addition explanation as supplement text in pdf would be helpful as you mentioned.

I'm glad that you enjoyed the game. We had fun making it and hoping to create more.

Thank you again for using ReanKhmer as part of your learning experience. With the level of commitment, I'm sure you will be fluent in Khmer in no time.
